The Ego And Religion Share The Same Source

Religion exists as a seperate universe within the mind. Thats a pretty loaded statement so go ahead and think about that for a few minutes before you read on. Heaven, hell, the holy spirit, angles demons, spells, magic...etc all these things exist within the mind. yet it affects people in many ways. The same thing happens with ego. It exists within the mind. It supposed to explain reality. yet it's an illusion, just as religious phenomena is. So if these ideas are true, the root of religious thought is the same as the root of egoic thought, and so their cause is from the habit of believing thoughts more than direct observation of reailty when answering questions about self or the universe.
